There are estimated to be approximately 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK. Most people develop hearing loss with age and it is estimated that 55% of people over the age of 60 are deaf or hard of hearing.
Other causes of hearing loss can include: noise exposure, hereditary conditions, genetics, ototoxic drugs, trauma, infections, viruses and excessive wax.
Of the 9 million people in the UK who have a hearing loss, about 4 million do not use hearing instruments. These individuals experience significant hearing difficulties in everyday life and could greatly improve their quality of life with the use of hearing instruments.
We can provide digital hearing aids from all the leading manufacturers:
Phonak Hearing, Oticon, Siemens, GN Resound, Widex, Puretone, Unitron, Starkey, Sonic Innovations, Auric and more...
